got the show name incorrect ... it was "Face the Nation" not "This Morning" ... I think This Morning might be the weekday show ... not sure why I made the mistake, but it has been fixed now.

I'm a tad behind on my Sunday News shows this week, company came up for the New Year and through everything off ... not to mention, it was just a very off day -- back, neck were huring me, we had to do a "hard reset" of the Wii U (found a lot has changed since the last time we used it) ... anyhow - I didn't get to it until this morning ... 

I'm surrently watching - yes, I haven't finished it yet - This Morning FACE THE NATION (CBS) ... I liked it better when I was "with David Brinkley" but he has retired now, so, oh well ... and they had the mayors of both Chicago (Johnson) and Denver (Johnston) talking about the illegals coming into their cities, and if they are prepared for the weather there.

Interesting enough - the people who usually yap on constantly about Global Warming and Climate Change didn't even mention that part once ... they did complain that when people come over the border they are in "flip flops and shorts" ... wait, what? I've seen images of people coming across the Rio Grande, they are usually in long pants and regular shoes, where did they get flip flops from?

So at the end of the interview time, the commentator (sorry, can not recall her full name, but I want to say its Margaret something) asked the Chicago mayor about a little boy who died at one of Chicago's shelters after falling ill.

The mayor of Chicago immediately began to blame TX for not giving adiquit healthcare to the border crossers ... then flipped into total, full-on political mode ... said Gov. Greg Abbott (TX) was clinging to the principles of Jefferson Davis (President of the Confederate states) and then went on to speak about how people need to embrace the Left-Leaning writings of Fredrick Douglas.

Even the host was thrown aback ... she didn't quite know how to respond to any of it -- it was so far off topic, I couldn't blame her -- you could see her totally dumb-founded as they broke away for commercial.

WOW ... how can we expect our society, or those who live in it, to get beyond the racial side of things, if everytime any subject comes up, it gets flipped back onto the color of ones skin.

I actually found myself feeling sorry for the host ... and I'm betting she was very happy for the commercial break.
