CLEAN UP IN AISLE 3

 Okay, I'm finally up to today's news show ... well I watched this mornings Good Morning America (ABC) and Outnumbered (FNC) already, but I've already put up posts for those ... even though I didn't mention that they were from today (Feb. 6, 2024 ... I have a feeling its going to flip pastt midnight before I finish typing this upk)

Okay ... Let's talk President Biden ... Otherwise referred to as "Hidin' Biden" ... they better get that basement room ready again becuase the gaffs are still going strong nd the Clean Up Crew is on duty yet again.

This time it involves a speech where President Biden said he had spoken to French President Francois Mitterand not that long ago - at the G8 Summit, I believe ... 
Trouble is - well besides the fact that President Macron is the current President of France.  This wouldn't be quite so bad if it weren't for the fact that former French President Mitteran is dead, and that he died in 1996!!!!

Holy Crap - this was when Biden was still a Senator ... so I guess it would make sense that IF the President was starting to have an skip in his memory, it is likely it would settle on something he knew well.

But even all this wouldn't be quite so bad -- we all have met someone who forgets/lapses in memory once in a while -- if it hadn't been for the CLEAN UP CREW.

These are the staff members who listen to and then type up a transcript of what the President has said ... technically, they are supposed to do what I used to do with the State of tthe Union Address (well, I did it once and flaked out on the other one because my DVR ate it).

But they are supposed to put up a VERBATIM ... nothing added ... nothing changed
Unless you're in the Clean Up Crew ...

They corrected President Biden's mistake ... putting "Maccron" where "Mittaron" should have been.  
No note denoting the change ... no postscript ... no footnote ... NOTHING

So as far as history will be concerned years from now == NOTHING EVER HAPPENED.

And as if this isn't bad enough ... others have joined in as well.

When asked by FoxNews reported Peter Doucy (the younger) about what the could to said to eleviate the worry voters feel for President Biden (in particular over this incident) the Press Secetary, Karine Jean-Pierre simply answered "I'm not even going to go down that Rabbit Hole with you , sir"

Now - it is not unusual for Jean-Pierre to treat Peter Dooucy with a lack of respect ... well, not a total lack of respect, but she will often NOT call on him, nor answer a question he has asked, or even proceded to actually argue with him from the lecturn ... but will ask, answer the same question if  asked by another reporter.

Yes ... she is part of that Clean Up Crew ... I give her credit though, she has lasted longer than most other Press Secretaries I've seen ....

Makes me wonder about our history books nnow
