a note to Margaret Brennan, host of Face the Nation (CBS), who asked if TB was that big of a deal ...
YES - yes it is ....
If caught early it is treatable - but there is a point in which the disease is too far gone and will simply replicate, spread, and kill the host.
The amazing thing is - this happened in he same conversation where she was flipping out over RFK jr. not going to push for the MMR vaccines .... well, that's a misnomer - he isn't going to force vaccines upon anyone, which the Dems want to do ....
He has also changed his mind on the vaccine issue becausde now the problems have been linked to the preservative used in the past vaccines and not the vaccine themselves.
I know that it used to be - when I was a kid in the 70s - that being cleared for TB was a big deal if you were going to migrate into the States .... My uncle had to go through the check, as did so many other kids in my school .... it simply was.
I remember getting the test everytime I got my booster shots ... a prick on the forearm - watch for any swelling.
If caught early enough, TB can easily be treaed, but the longer it goes, the rougher it is - until there is nothing to be done but suffer.
Yes - yes, this is a big deal. Like Polio, Measles, Mumps, etc. we do not want a resurgance of this disease.
